IFA Suspends Games in Chihuahua Until July 5 Amid Ongoing Internal Review

The International Football Alliance (IFA) is aware of the actions taken by Mauricio Baldarrama against the investor group led by Luz Gonzalez. These actions have caused significant financial and moral harm to the group and have directly disrupted the operational stability of the Chihuahua franchise. Because of these actions, the league has expelled Mr. Baldarrama from the league and any future involvement.

The IFA holds the Chihuahua team in high regard and expects its leadership to reflect the values of professionalism, integrity, and community engagement. In response to the situation, the IFA has taken decisive steps to ensure the organization is properly structured and supported moving forward.

This includes resolving critical matters such as player housing, staff support, and overall team operations — all of which are essential to creating a successful remainder of the 2025 season and preparing for a strong 2026 campaign. The IFA believes these issues have now been addressed, and the team is ready to continue its season in a professional and stable manner.

Effective immediately, all scheduled IFA games in Chihuahua are suspended until July 5, 2025. This pause allows the league and ownership group time to realign internal operations, reinforce protocols, and finalize preparations for the remaining schedule.

July 5 – vs Texas Herd (IFA Showcase Team)
July 12 – vs Tennessee Hornets (IFA Showcase Team)
July 26 – vs Dallas Prime (IFA Showcase Team)

All games will be produced and broadcast by Channel 44 and streamed live across IFA platforms.
